Cast Iron Studios is now accepting resumes for open Front of House Assistant positions. The Front of House Assistant is responsible for ensuring smooth running of administrative and casting operations as assigned, assuring that all takes place in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, to meet client deadlines and ensure quality requirements.
This position is on-call and very part time. Hours per month can range anywhere from 3 to 30 in most cases, with hours typically increasing during the busy summer months. Flexibility is a must.
Responsibilities include checking in talent on casting days, assisting with open casting calls and street casting, maintaining a tidy, clean and organized work area and office, washing dishes, watering plants, sweeping, emptying trash and recycling, answering phones, and supporting Casting and Development staff as necessary.
Administrative assistance or clerical experience preferred. Experience in film or television industries preferred. Applicants should have proficiency in MS Office software and Internet research. iPhoto, Casting Frontier, Acrobat Pro, Bento and QuickTime Pro software experience preferred. Proficiency on Mac and Apple equipment. Familiar with formats like MP3, JPG and PDF. Equipment and computer savvy. Can handle multi-line phones, scanner, photocopier, printer.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good speller and proofreader. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent customer service and phone skills. Great attitude, quick learner, self-reliant. Ability to work independently, with or without daily direction, in a high stress and busy environment.
Reliable transportation and means of communication required. Valid driver’s license preferred. Flexible schedule. Able to work extended hours and/or weekends when necessary. Comfortable in a non-smoking, dog-friendly environment.
