L.A. Workshop: How to Book Roles Outside of Hollywood

Lana VeenkerOn Saturday, October 24, 2015, Casting Director Lana Veenker (Wild, Twilight, The Librarians, many others) will offer two workshops in Los Angeles on how to book roles outside of Hollywood.

With so much production happening in places like Georgia, Louisiana and Oregon, how can an L.A.-based actor get in on the action?

The course will focus on how to get considered for roles shooting outside of Los Angeles, and how to make your self-tapes stand out.

Lana founded Cast Iron Studios in the Pacific Northwest over 15 years ago, and previously worked in a London casting office, both of which regularly hire L.A.-based talent for their projects. She will reveal how L.A. actors can get their names in the running for roles in regional productions, on both the large and small screen.

The workshops will be hosted by The Actors Link and will adhere to CSA guidelines approved by SAG-AFTRA. The Actors Link is run by actors and industry professionals, and has hosted many of the industry’s top casting directors.
