Press Release: Open Casting Call for NBC’s "Grimm"

LANA VEENKER CASTING SEEKS YOUNG ADULTS FOR NBC PRIMETIME DRAMA

“Grimm” is currently shooting in Portland and surrounding areas

PORTLAND, ORE.  Lana Veenker Casting announced today that it is seeking 18-22 year olds, both male and female, all ethnicities to fill a small number of roles in the NBC primetime drama “Grimm”, which premieres Friday, October 28, 2011 on the network.

“We are widening our search to find young actors 18 and older who can pass for late teens in an upcoming episode,” says Casting Director Lana Veenker, owner of the Portland, Oregon-based casting company.  “While this open call is primarily for a specific episode, this will also enable us to keep a pool of young actors in our files for use on future episodes or projects.”

An open casting call will take place in Portland on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Lana Veenker Casting, 1430 SE 3rd Ave, Suite 100, Portland, OR 97214.  Applicants who fit the age requirements (18-22 years old only) will have their photos taken and may be asked to read lines in front of the casting director.

There is no charge to audition for any role.

Interested talent should be available to audition and work as locals in Portland, Oregon. No other roles are open to the public at this time, and the casting company cannot accept drop-in or telephone inquiries.

Applicants who are unable to attend Wednesday’s open call should email their contact information, acting resume and a photo to talent@slateplease.com.  More information about Lana Veenker Casting is available on the casting company’s website at slateplease.com.

That's too bad. I'm a 34 year old woman and look 16 and not one person thinks I'm older plus I'm hot to look at. It's Grimm's loss for not being open minded.

I have to agree, I am a 44 year old who looks much, much younger, I hang out with the 20 somethings and get mistaken for one of them all the time. Grimm should be open to seeing all the talent Portland has to offer:)

Feel free to forward your photo and acting resume to talent[at]slateplease[dot]com. Thanks.

The acting business is very specific in their needs and wants. truth be told all you women that claim to "look 20" may think you do…but you really don't. maybe you should try looking for casting calls for roles tha are actually around your age and you'll have better luck instead of tryng to lie to yourselves about what you look like.
